Johann Strauss II


Johann Strauss II (called "the Younger"): 19th-century composer from Vienna.

Called the "Waltz King," he wrote over 500 dance numbers, including "The Blue Danube," arguably the most famous of danceable waltzes.

He also wrote several operettas (including Die Fledermaus) and a ballet.
