All for one and one for all! (Proverb)

ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!

  • This can be reversed to "One for all and all for one!"
Meaning: All members will support each one, and each one will support all the others.
  • This saying describes "mutual support," people helping each other. It was used by the Three Musketeers in the novel by the French author Alexandre Dumas.
Mini-Dialogue: Two students, Tony and Maria, chat in the school library.
Maria: Tony, do you think a study group is a good idea?
Tony: Yes, it's a great idea!
Maria: Why? I mean, how can it help?
Tony: Well, group members can "drill" each other, or do role plays together, and so on. As the Three Musketeers would say: "All for one and one for all!"
Maria: I'm sold! I think I'll give it a try. Want to join?
