Conjunctions: AND, OR, BUT

conjunction: a word used to join two or more words, phrases, or sentences. The most common are "and," "or," and "but."
  • Or gives a choice: "Do you want red OR blue?"
  • And adds: "I want red AND blue."
  • But shows contrast (difference): "You may have red, BUT not blue."
